South Africa in the houseeeeee!
The new Brickell City Center house…
Woop woop!
Celebrating their official grand opening last week, Big Easy did not disappoint. Co-owned by renowned boutique restaurant firm Grove Bay Hospitality Group, the team behind the fast-casual healthy concept American Harvest located next door to Big Easy, and Coconut Grove dining gem Glass & Vine, which is helmed by Giorgio Rapicavoli.

I am a sucker for a solid charcuterie platter so naturally I was all over the spread here in the back tasting room at Big Easy. The featured almonds had a nice kick to them , the wine, meat, cheese and berries were wonderfully paired. As a dietitian I tend to notice how heavy (or not) a menu is, and for this grand opening I would have to say that the offerings were just right.

As with most grand openings, Big Easy was packed with guests and entertainment and filled with wine and delightful waiters passing around South African bites. Thanks to my food bud The South Florida Sage for sapping a few pics of them and for the awesome photo booth snagging one of us.
